What Is Anxiety?

Individual therapy is a supportive space where you can slow down, explore what you are feeling, and understand the patterns that shape your life. It is a place to reconnect with your emotions, your needs, and the parts of you that have been working hard to keep you safe. Sessions are collaborative and gentle, guided by curiosity and compassion.

Who Does Anxiety Affect?

Anxiety can affect anyone. Children, teens, adults, and seniors all experience it in different ways. It may be triggered by life stress, trauma, major transitions, health concerns, relationship issues, or may appear without a clear cause. Some people experience anxiety temporarily, while others live with ongoing anxiety disorders that benefit from structured treatment and support.

Common Symptoms

People experience anxiety differently, but common signs include:

  • Persistent worry or racing thoughts

  • Feeling restless, on edge, or easily overwhelmed

  • Difficulty concentrating

  • Trouble sleeping or waking up feeling unrested

  • Physical symptoms like a tight chest, rapid heartbeat, stomach discomfort, or muscle tension

  • Avoiding situations that trigger worry or fear

  • Irritability or emotional sensitivity

  • Feeling like something bad is about to happen

Our Approach

I believe therapy should feel comfortable and down to earth. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are, with warmth, curiosity, and compassion. You can expect that I’ll show up authentically in each session, giving you permission to bring your whole Self too.

At the core of my work is a foundation of mindfulness and self-compassion. These are approaches that invite you to understand yourself, rather than judge yourself. Through this lens, healing becomes less about “fixing” and more about coming home to who you truly are.
